European Voluntary Service (EVS) allows young people aged between 18 and 30 to perform voluntary work of up to a year in various social projects mostly organized by NGOs across Europe.
During EVS, the youth may engage in diverse activities ranging from culture and arts to supporting children in an orphanage. The program covers participants’ expenses such as food, housing, basic language education, transport, insurance and provides some pocket money.
Since 2005, TOG has been participating in EVS, which is a part of EU Education and Youth Programs, as an accredited sending institution and host institution. As of year-end 2017, a total of 210 young individuals were sent to European NGOs for voluntary work.
