The world's number one dandruff shampoo*, Head & Shoulders, continues to raise awareness about peer bullying with the 'Zorbalığı Kafandan At' social responsibility project implemented in collaboration with the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) and Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin. During the event held at Feriye, influencer mothers, experts, and press members were hosted, including names like Münhan Çınar, Melek Hayta, Sezen Ketenci, and Duygu Batum. Baturay Şahin, Brand and Communication Manager for Hair Care Category at P&G Turkey, Caucasus, and Central Asia, and Çiğdem Güler, Projects Manager at TOG, shared updates on the 'Zorbalığı Kafandan At' project, while Pedagogue Tansu Oskay shared important information about peer bullying.

Baturay Şahin, Brand and Communication Manager for Hair Care Category at P&G Turkey, Caucasus, and Central Asia, stated the following about the #zorbalığıkafandanat project:

"With the 'Zorbalığı Kafandan At' project initiated against peer bullying that our children and young people face in both school and social life, saying 'Stop!' to bullying is now everyone's duty. With our project, we have undertaken the mission to raise awareness about this problem that deeply affects the present and future of our children and young people and to find solutions."

Çiğdem Güler, Projects Manager at TOG, said, "Through our workshops, we aimed to make students realize that they are not alone."

"In combating peer bullying, we have seen that teachers, school officials, school staff, parents, and students must act together. We need to act together against this form of violence. After our workshops, we aimed to make students realize that they are not alone. We explained that if we collectively fight against this form of violence, we can create a peaceful classroom and school environment. Following the workshops, the students enthusiastically embraced the 'Common Rules Against Bullying' document prepared at the final stage of education, and a movement initiated by volunteer youths continued in schools even after they left," she said.

TOG school training sessions started in February

Within the scope of the #zorbalığıkafandanat social responsibility project, Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) started training sessions in selected schools in Istanbul. Volunteer youths, who will also conduct field training in Ankara and Izmir, undertake the field training of the project, which provides solutions to peer bullying problems that deeply affect the lives of children and young people. Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG), with the 'Throw Bullying Out of Your Head' social responsibility project carried out in collaboration with Head & Shoulders, raises awareness about peer bullying.

Pedagogue Tansu Oskay explained how to recognize if children are being bullied:

"Young people don't want to go where they experience peer bullying. This may manifest as an increased reluctance to go to school, meet friends, or attend training sessions. A child experiencing bullying may retreat into their room and withdraw when you try to chat with them. If this situation occurs on social media or through messaging, they may want to keep their electronic devices away from their parents. Such hints should suggest to parents that there may be something the child doesn't want to talk about.

In such a situation, it is necessary to be careful in enabling children and young people to open up. They should feel that they have confidants with whom they can share their secrets. This comfort can be achieved by engaging in activities that the child loves together, increasing the chances of the child opening up to the parents. After discussing the bullying situation, this secret should not be shared with anyone without the child's permission, and the bond of trust should not be shaken."
