Sivas – Sivritepe Activity Classroom Project

As part of this initiative carried out by the Cumhuriyet University Community Volunteers Club in Sivas, Community Volunteer youth observed that children’s opportunities for development and socialization were limited at a primary school in Sivritepe Village due to the lack of a suitable activity area. During the winter months, when outdoor play became difficult due to harsh weather, the need for creative spaces for children became even more apparent.

In response to this need, the youth established an activity classroom at the school where children could freely play and create. The classroom was designed with four distinct areas:

  • Art Corner
  • Theater Corner
  • Library Corner
  • Play Corner

The space was enriched with books, art supplies, game kits, and various educational materials. A movie-watching activity with the children was also organized during the project.

This project, led by 15 Community Volunteer youth, represents a concrete step in strengthening local educational opportunities and holds an important place within the “With Me, With the Republic” program. The classroom in Sivritepe became a warm gathering space where children could enjoy creating and playing safely.
