As part of the Community Empowerment Gatherings (TOG BU) held at the Hatay Campus in December, 88 Community Volunteer youth came together across three separate gatherings. Through trainings focused on project development, communication, local relations, and sustainable organizing, young people gathered to carry out stronger initiatives within their own communities.
During the TOG BU gatherings held at the Hatay Campus between December 5–21, participants received trainings on topics such as TOG principles, project development, communication and giving feedback, nonviolent communication, setting goals based on experience, and advanced strategic planning. In addition, spaces for collective reflection were created around building relationships with public institutions, developing collaboration with local stakeholders, and increasing the visibility of ongoing efforts.
Thanks to the TOG BU gatherings, Community Volunteer youth deepened their knowledge and experience to establish a more sustainable and stronger model of local organizing, while the Hatay Campus continued to serve as a space where young people come together to learn and co-create.
