Throughout December, Community Volunteer youth were active in the field as part of the Disaster Volunteering Local Outreach Trainings, aiming to be better prepared for disasters. Through 10 different trainings, 212 young people joined the Disaster Volunteering network by participating in face-to-face sessions that increased emergency and disaster awareness.
During the trainings held in December in Bingöl, İzmir, Muğla, Kahramanmaraş, Eskişehir, Fethiye, Istanbul, and Diyarbakır, Community Volunteer youth engaged with comprehensive content on emergency preparedness, teamwork, humanitarian aid processes, and warehouse volunteering. The trainings aimed to empower young people not only as supporters during disasters, but as informed, coordinated, and responsible individuals who can act together in times of crisis.
Through these trainings, Community Volunteer youth not only raised their awareness of disasters but also strengthened practices of solidarity, cooperation, and responsibility, preparing to take an active role within the Disaster Volunteering network.
