Improvisation: Persuade, Turn Challenges Into Opportunities 24 May 2025

Purpose of Education: 
It aims to enable young people to look at the difficulties they encounter in daily life from a different perspective, to strengthen their persuasion and communication skills while producing social benefit, and to express themselves more freely and effectively through improvisational techniques. 

Content of Training: 

Part 1 – Warm Up, Relax, Create!  

Purpose: To integrate with the group, overcome shyness, warm up to improvisation 

  • Name game but with improvised movement 
  • The “I am something” game (example: “I am a coffee, because...” you say and characterize it) 
  • The “Yes, and…” game – progress by contributing to the other person 

Chapter 2 – Difficulty? What’s That? 

Purpose: To look at challenges creatively and produce solutions 

  • Mini story role-plays: “Turn a problem into an opportunity” 
  • “Problem box”: Participants draw a challenge card and try to convince the group through improvisation 
  • Role reversal: Looking at the same event from a different perspective 

Chapter 3 – The Art of Persuasion  

Purpose: To defend your idea, to gain people, to notice the resistance 

  • “My dream project” game – convince the jury in 2 minutes 
  • Empathy improvisation – first be a resister, then be a persuader 
  • Objection comparison game – “I understand and...” instead of “Yes, but...” 
  • Storyteller: Present a random object (even a teaspoon) as a great opportunity 

Chapter 4 – Your Stage 

Purpose: To express oneself, to gain stage courage 

  • 2-3 part improvisation games 
  • “Save the moment” game – group falls into a crisis, someone improvises a solution 
  • Final: A short impromptu performance by the participant – individually or in a group 

Gains: 

Improvisational Ability 
You can quickly produce solutions when faced with difficult situations.  
You can express yourself easily by improvising. 

Effective Communication 
You can convey your thoughts clearly and persuade others. 

Empathy 
You learn to understand others and respect different points of view. 

Persuasion and Communication Strategies 
You learn how to persuade the other person while defending your idea. 

Turning Challenges into Opportunities 
You can develop creative ways to solve the challenges you face. 

Self-Confidence 
You can speak and express yourself comfortably in front of the public. 

Teamwork 
You can achieve common goals by working harmoniously within a group.
