“What Am I, Who Am I Not?” — On Emotions, Boundaries, and Being Me

Purpose of Education:

The aim is to support participants in getting to know their feelings, approaching their inner world, realizing their personal boundaries, and developing a healthier sense of self by differentiating themselves from the expectations of others. The workshop aims to make participants ask the questions “What do I feel?”, “What do I need?” and “Who do I want to be?” through experiential activities.

Content of Training:

1. Opening & Warm-Up: “What’s Mine, What’s Not?”

2. “What Do Emotions Say?”

Activity: Creating a Story with Emotion Cards

3. “Border or Wall?”

Activity: Role Plays with Role Cards

5..“Cores of Identity”

Event: “I Am” Circle

6. Closing & Feedback: “What I’ve Realized About Myself”

Gains:

  • Recognizes and names his/her emotions.
  • Learns to cope with challenging emotions.
  • Understands the difference in setting boundaries.
  • Distinguishes the difference between a boundary and a wall.
  • Begins to express his/her own needs.
  • He/she realizes where he/she wants to stand in relationships.
  • Discovers his own values.
  • He questions who he is and who he is not.
  • It creates space to hear your inner voice.
  • It strengthens the sense of self.
