Purpose of Education
It aims to enable young people to consciously manage their environmental, social and economic impacts by developing their sustainability and impact-oriented leadership skills. It supports them to produce long-term and sustainable solutions by developing their systematic thinking skills.
Importance of Education
In today’s world, leadership requires considering environmental, social and economic impacts rather than focusing solely on individual success. Sustainability and impact-focused leadership training enables young people to gain this awareness and make long-term, responsible and conscious decisions. Supported by practical experiences, this training helps participants become the transformation leaders of the future by developing their skills in managing crises, motivating teams and creating social benefits. This training is a critical starting point for young people who want to produce sustainable value in the business world and social life.
Content of the Training
- Icebreaker: "Mapping Our Impact"
Purpose: To make participants aware of individual and collective impact.
Application: Participants are asked the following questions:
Who or what has had the biggest impact on your life so far?
Whose life have you made a difference in so far?
How do you think a leader leaves a lasting impact?
Sharing in small groups helps find common ground.
- Who is a sustainable leader?
Key characteristics of a sustainable leader
Inspiring examples of leaders
Discussion Questions:
Why is it important for leaders to be sustainable in today's world?
What do you think is the biggest responsibility of a leader?
- Group Work: "Sustainable Strategy Game"
Scenario: Each group (4-5 people) must develop a sustainable project within a certain period of time as a leader of a community with limited resources. The groups are given three different scenarios (for example: a village with water scarcity, a company that wants to reduce carbon emissions, a community that struggles with social inequality).
Teams determine a strategy to produce sustainable and effective solutions to these problems.
